The NHI-funded COVID-19 vaccine appointment booking website has been released.
First of all, if you haven’t already downloaded the NHI app and logged in (the same one used to book masks) you can find instructions here.
If you’ve already got the app, the steps seem incredibly simple. When the system is operational, you can click the COVID-19 Vaccine Appointment on your app:
You can also use the app to login to the website, if you prefer:
After checking your system requirements are up to scratch, it will prompt you to enter you ARC/ID number, the OTP code from your app and a captcha code:
To access the OTP code, you just go into your NHI app and click the OTP password option:
Then you click 「產制OTP認證碼」 and you’ll get a six digit number, which you can enter on the website (only valid for 3 minutes):
If you’ve already got the app however, you may as well just book the appointment through the app. If for some reason, you’re having problems with the app, however, the next screen of the website will look like this:
Your ID or ARC should already be filled in, then you fill in your name, mobile number, city/county and district/township.
The next section, where you select a place and a date to get vaccinated is not yet working but I’ll update when it starts working.
If you prefer, you can also login using a card reader and your NHI card.
Note: this system is currently only for those who qualify to be vaccinated under the NHI scheme (公費), so please check the CDC website or your local authority website to see if you qualify before taking the steps above.
Hello,
Are non-NHI holders eligible for self-paid vaccines? Thanks!
Self-paid vaccines are currently restricted due to the Level 3 alert, but before this self-paid vaccines were available at hospitals and clinics, and I think they will likely be again.
They are eligible when self-paid vaccines are available. Currently they are not available.
I wish this worked. I am prompted for a password I don’t know, and when I try to reset it, the APP claims that my ARC is in “the wrong format.” Taiwan, you gave me the ARC number, its not in the wrong format. Didn’t we fix this issue this year by standardizing the records?
Hi there, it’s not up and running yet, it’s in beta testing phase.
Try using your old ARC number, or maybe you need to reactivate your account with the new number and it will work from your app. You can also go directly to the website and fill in the data instead of via the app.
